There are many devices of Samsung that are said to be ending their life with Jelly Bean 4.2.2. These include the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 1. Google have revealed Android 4.4 KitKat and its coming out in October. It will have an updated Linux kernel that will support devices with low memory.    In March of this year yesilcin posted a list which gave details about the Samsung Galaxy devices that would be getting Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and those which would move forward and get Android 5. An insider who was said to be from Samsung said that the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Note 1 would get updated to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and this would be the last update.
   
   Both devices are upgradeable to Jelly Bean 4.1.2, which initially had Android 2.3 and ICS. Samsung will be updating five devices to Key Lime Pie it has been said.
   
   But Google revealed Android 4.4 KitKat and not Android 5, instead of Key Lime Pie, which was said to be an internal reference to KitKat. AndroidCentral has heard about an updated Linux kernel being worked on. The Linux kernel 3.8 is said to be bringing amazing things. They include full support on NVIDIA Tegra and Samsung Exynos DRM drivers, flash-Friendly File-System Support and lower memory footprint which is vital to support more devices.
